My name is Gaby. I’m a policy reporter at The Verge and a writer for lots of other publications. My work focuses on immigration policy, the far right, and where the two intersect. I’m currently working on BLOOD AND SOIL, a book about ecofascism and the origins of the conservation movement, which will be published by Bloomsbury in 2027. I also have a newsletter.

I’ve reported on border surveillance technology in the Sonoran Desert, video hearings in immigration court, a standoff in the Texas borderlands, and the vibes at CPAC and the Bitcoin Conference. I’ve written about ecofascism and ecoterrorism, natalism and anti-natalism, tradwife influencers, and Disney’s sinister housing developments. My literary criticism has appeared in The Baffler, The Nation, and The Los Angeles Review of Books.
